Pumpkin Chunkin’ Trebuchet/Catapult Competition
Syracuse Sports Association will hold their first annual The Lord of the Gourd Pumpkin Chunkin’ competition for adult and school aged teams. The event will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 7192 Oswego Road Liverpool, NY 13090 the “Kickball Fields” on Oswego Road (A.K.A. Route 57) in Liverpool from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm.
“This unique event has been designed to bring people together to experience the fun and exciting world of Science, Technology Engineering, and Math [STEM], while benefiting two outstanding causes. A portion of the proceeds from the adult class entry fees will be donated to the Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR) and the food collected by school age teams, each school age team’s entry fee, will be donated to Food Bank of Central New York.” Quote by Toby White.
Adult Class Registration Fee is $175 per team and teams must register by Friday, August 25, 2017 (15 member team limit). School age (grades 5 - 12) class registration fee will consist of non-perishable food items collected the day of the event (20 team limit). School age teams must register by Friday, September 29, 2017. Prizes will be awarded in both classes. Spectators will experience the best pumpkin chunkin’ south of Route 3, food trucks, exhibits, music, and fun! Admission is free for spectators, who are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate.
