Food Bank of Central New York and Bank of America partner to help individuals who face hunger in Central New York through Give A Meal program
For the fourth consecutive year, the Feeding America network and Bank of America are joining forces to support the Give A Meal program, which aims to reduce food insecurity in local communities around the country—and those right here in Central New York.
On Friday, Oct. 23, Bank of America will work with the Food Bank of Central New York to help individuals and families in the local Syracuse community. That day, Bank of America employee volunteers will help package meals to aid efforts for the fight against hunger.
Safelite AutoGlass partnered with Food Bank of Central New York to raise awareness and funds for their hunger-relief mission during the NYS Fair. Representatives from Safelite staffed a booth where they collected $9,606 in donations for the Food Bank.
Tickets are on sale now for Back to the 80s, a fundraiser to support Food Bank of Central New York. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at foodbankcny.org.
Yo2Go in the Dairy Products Building and Chobani team up to raise awareness about hunger in central and northern New York
On Friday, September 4, Yo2Go and Chobani will team up in the Dairy Products Building to help raise awareness about hunger in our community and the work of Food Bank of Central New York. Beginning at 11am, volunteers will distribute 500 samples of nutritious Chobani Greek yogurt near the Yo2Go booth
On Thursday, September 3, 2015, a check in the amount of $726 was presented to Food Bank of Central New York by representatives from Oswego County’s Department of Social Services. They plan to show their support of the Food Bank’s hunger-relief mission throughout September, Hunger Action Month.

Food Bank of Central New York received a grant of $75,000 from the Walmart Foundation as part of both organizations’ commitments to fighting hunger and promoting nutrition among those in need.
