Food Bank of Central New York Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors and Executive Committee

Food Bank of Central New York is pleased to announce three new board members, beginning their fiscal year of July 2014. The new members of their Board of Directors are Mark Ciaralli, Lt. Col. Edward Cook, Jr., and Peggy Rowe. Each was elected to three two-year terms. In addition to the new board members, Food Bank’s new officers are: President, Steven Shaw, Hancock & Estabrook, Vice President, Scott Kingsley, Community Bank System, Inc., Secretary, Kathy Kratz, Wegmans Markets and Treasurer, Mark Ciaralli, Grossman St. Amour CPAs.
Mark Ciaralli is a Senior Manager at Grossman St. Amour CPAs. Mr. Ciaralli is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He practices in the areas of audit and attest engagements, financial statement preparation and internal control review. His audit experience include fire districts, public school districts, government and municipalities, retail distribution, and not-for profit organization. Mr. Ciaralli is President-elect of the Syracuse Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and a graduate of Leadership Greater Syracuse Class of 2012. He has been with Grossman St. Amour CPAs since 2003.
Lt. Col. Edward Cook, Jr., has served as the Logistics Readiness Squadron Commander, 174th Attack Wing, New York Air National Guard, since 2009. Lt. Col. Cook served four years on active duty from 1988 through 1992. After separating from active duty, he finished his education degree and taught at Manlius Pebble Hill School. In 1998, Lt. Col. Cook restarted his full time career with the Air Force. Lt. Col. Cook currently supervises more than 70 personnel responsible for 174th Attack Wing logistics. He has been deployed in support of Operations Southern Watch, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom and coordinated the mobilization and deployment all Hancock Field troops in support of Operation Noble Eagle. He has received more than two dozen military awards and decorations including the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and Joint Service Commendation Medal with device.
Peggy Rowe, CPA, CFE, CBA is an audit partner with Dannible & McKee, LLP. Ms. Rowe has more than twenty years of experience and currently is responsible for overseeing audit, accounting and consulting services in the financial services and not-for-profit industries. She is also responsible for providing auditing services to a variety of employee benefit plans. Ms. Rowe is a Certified Fraud Examiner and has earned the designation of Certified Bank Auditor. She is past President of the Accounting & Financial Women’s Alliance.
