Price Chopper Supermarkets to Participate in Check Out Hunger Campaign

SYRACUSE, NY – Price Chopper supermarkets will present customers with the opportunity to “Check Out Hunger” this fall. The annual Food Bank of Central New York campaign, hosted by Price Chopper, begins November 17th, and provides shoppers with a quick and easy way to help feed the hungry in their communities.

From November 17th through December 14th, 2013, Price Chopper customers will have the option to round up their change at the checkout registers. Customers can also donate $5, $10 or $15 for a food package containing non-perishable food items for distribution throughout Food Bank’s the emergency food network.

Food and funds raised at 22 Price Chopper locations in the Central New York area will support Food Bank of Central New York. Food Bank is the hub of the emergency food network, and supplies food to 261 food pantries, soup kitchens and emergency shelters.
