Syracuse Nationals to Partner with Food Bank of Central New York to Fight Hunger
Tuesday, July 11, 2017
The Right Coast Association, producers of the Syracuse Nationals, have announced a fifth year of partnership with Food Bank of Central New York to help raise food, funds, and awareness about hunger in our community.
Volunteers from the Food Bank will collect food and funds while distributing information about the event. On Thursday, July 13, vehicle owners will be able to donate at the Holiday Inn, the host hotel, between 8:00 am – 8:00 pm. Once the show begins on Friday, July 14, a booth will be set up at the New York State Fairgrounds near the Car Corral/Swap Meet where vehicle owners, vendors, and show attendees will be able to donate food and/or funds and receive information about the Food Bank’s work in central and northern New York. The Food Bank will also have a limited edition poster, donated by The Image Press, that will be available for a monetary donation as well.
“The Syracuse Nationals is a great venue to create awareness that hunger exists in our local communities. With 1 in 8 Americans affected by food insecurity this partnership allows us to share our mission while people from all over the area get to check out vintage and modern vehicles. We are so pleased that The Right Coast Association has been partnering with the Food Bank for the last five years,” stated Kathleen Stress, Executive Director of Food Bank of Central New York.
