TEFAP is a federal program that helps nourish neighbors in need by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. TEFAP is administered in New York by the New York State Office of General Services (OGS). OGS helps distribute USDA food commodities to food banks across the state. The Food Bank supplements our wholesale and donated inventories with USDA products to support the needs of the communities that we serve alongside our partners.
The Food Bank offers eligible partner agencies access to TEFAP’s USDA food products through our online shopping list. Each eligible agency that wishes to receive TEFAP product support must meet program eligibility and operational standards imposed by the USDA and enforced by the New York State Office of General Services and Food Bank of Central New York.
Please ensure all neighbors recertify with new intake form on their next visit on or after March 19th, 2025.
